This website, jolantatalaikiene.com, is the studio website of painter Jolanta Talaikiene, based in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, USA. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, and what choices you have. In short: I collect only what I need to answer your letters and send the occasional studio news you ask for, and I never sell it.

What I collect

When you send an inquiry. If you write to me through the inquiry form, I receive the details you enter, such as your name, your email address, the painting you are interested in and your message. I use them only to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to arrange a viewing, a purchase or delivery.

When you join the private collector list. If you subscribe, I keep your email address so that I can send you news of new paintings, exhibitions and editions, a few times a year at most. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to me to be removed.

When you buy a painting or an edition. I receive the name, email, phone number and delivery address needed to complete and ship the order. Payments are handled by secure payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal). I never see or store your full card details.

When you browse the site. Like most websites, this site automatically records basic technical information, such as your browser, device, approximate location and the pages you visit, to keep the site secure and to understand, in total numbers, how visitors use it. This is done with cookies, described below.

Cookies

The site uses cookies that are needed for it to work (for example, to keep it secure and remember a shopping cart) and analytics cookies that count visits. I do not use advertising cookies, and I do not sell or share browsing information for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although some features may not.

Who helps me run the site

Your information is shared only with the services that make the site work, and only for that purpose:

• Squarespace, which hosts this website, its forms, its statistics and its mailing list;

• payment providers, such as Stripe or PayPal, when you make a purchase;

• shipping and fine-art transport companies, when a painting is delivered to you.

I may also disclose information if the law requires it. I do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.

How long I keep it

I keep inquiry letters for as long as our conversation continues and for a reasonable time afterwards, so that I can follow up if you return. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Your email stays on the collector list until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or tell me to stop sending emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under the law, for example under United States state privacy laws or, if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, under the GDPR. To use any of these rights, simply write to me at the address below. I will answer within 30 days.

This site is run from the United States, and the services above may store information in the United States or other countries. By using the site, you understand that your information may be processed there, with the protections described in this policy.

This site is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
