For collectors

Collecting my paintings

Each painting is an original, made by hand in my studio in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey. Here are answers to the questions collectors ask most often. If yours is not here, I would be glad to hear from you personally.

Originals

Is every painting an original?

Yes. Every painting on this site is a one-of-a-kind original in acrylic on canvas, painted entirely by hand in fine, patient layers. No AI is used at any stage, and no painting is ever repeated.

Does each painting come with a certificate of authenticity?

Yes. Every original comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by me, with the title, year, medium and size of the work. The painting itself is signed as well.

Are the paintings framed?

Originals are sold unframed, so that you can choose a frame that suits the painting and your home. I am happy to suggest a framing style or a framer near you.

Are prices open to discussion?

Prices are set carefully, in line with my exhibition and award history. For collectors who are seriously considering a work, I am always open to a personal conversation about the acquisition.

Purchase and delivery

How do I buy a painting?

Write to me through the inquiry form with the painting you are interested in. I will reply personally with the details. Paintings are paid for by bank transfer against a formal invoice, or in person when we meet at the studio.

Can I reserve a painting?

Yes. A deposit will hold a painting for you while you decide or arrange payment. Please ask me for the terms when you write.

Do you ship within the United States and abroad?

Yes. Paintings are professionally packed for safe travel and shipped within the United States and internationally. Shipping and insurance costs are paid by the collector, together with any customs duties or import taxes in your country. I will give you a quote before you buy, so there are no surprises.

Can I return a painting?

Because every painting is one of a kind, all sales are final and returns are not accepted. If you would like to be sure, I am happy to send more photographs or a short video, or to welcome you to the studio to see the painting in person before you decide.

Commissions

Do you paint commissions?

Yes, I accept a small number of commissions. Every commission is different, so the subject, size, timing and price are agreed individually with each collector. Please write to me with your idea and we will begin with a conversation.

Studio visits

Can I visit the studio?

Yes, by appointment, in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, about an hour from New York City. You can see the paintings in person, talk with me about the work, and see how a painting is built, layer by layer.

Studio hour1 to 2 guests, about 1 hour$150
Studio afternoonUp to 4 guests, about 2 hours, with a painting demonstration$350
Small group5 to 10 guests, about 2 hours$75 per guest

The visit fee is credited in full towards any original painting you purchase within 30 days of your visit. To arrange a visit, please use the inquiry form.

Limited editions

Will there be prints?

Yes. I am preparing a first series of limited editions of selected paintings: archival pigment prints on museum-quality cotton paper, each one signed and numbered by me, in small editions of no more than 30, with a certificate of authenticity. Once an edition is sold out, it will never be reprinted.

Members of the private collector list will hear about them first. You can join at the bottom of any page.

Caring for your painting

How should I care for an acrylic painting?

Hang the painting away from direct sunlight, radiators, fireplaces and damp walls. A stable room temperature and normal humidity are best. To clean it, dust the surface very lightly with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Never use water, sprays or cleaning products. When moving it, hold the painting by the sides of the stretcher, not by the canvas.

If a painting is ever damaged, please contact me before attempting any repair.
